This international symposium aims to examine how contemporary artworks engage with the concept of the Anthropocene. Etymologically meaning ‘Age of humans’, this term defines a new geological epoch in which humankind has become the central actor and is leaving a decisive mark on the planet. In line with the debates of our time, the presentations will therefore focus on artistic works that challenge the ethical and political choices that govern our ways of life.
